Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) celebrated its annual Christmas event “KCWA Christmas Party 2011” with splendid and impressive presentation at Al-Farah hall, Salmiya on Friday 9th December.
The event began at 7:00 pm with an introduction by MC’s Dr. Manohar Prabhu & Deepak Andrade, followed by prayer led by Rudy D’Souza. KCWA committee members presented the KCWA theme song. President Stephen Machado welcomed all the dignitaries, guests & members. He thanked the members and well wishers for their wholehearted support for the event.
Prizes were distributed to all the winners of the recently held competitions for members and children. Annual merit scholarship awards for member’s children were presented. Mr. Sam & Mrs. Mable Alphonso scholarship awards, Mr. Lawrence D’Souza scholarship awards, Mrs. & Mr. P.V. Saldanha scholarship awards, Late Thomas Castelino scholarship awards and Spinn’s Confectionery Extra Curricular awards were presented. The awards were presented by Fr. Noel Almeida, Stephen Machado and respective sponsors. Anil Fernandes conducted the awards ceremony. Main sponsor Mr. Charles D’Sa and all the sponsors of the event were also felicitated on this occasion. Fr. Noel Almeida gave a befitting Christmas message and praised KCWA for their service towards the poor & needy.
