Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) celebrated Monthi Fest with much grandeur on Sunday 12th September ‘10 at the Holy Family Cathedral, Kuwait city, which has been an annual tradition for 22 years now, attended by thousands of Catholics in Kuwait. Rev. Fr. John Harry D’Souza led the blessing of ‘Novem’ (new harvest) along with Cathedral Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Gasper and visiting priest Rev. Fr. Alban D’Souza & Deacon Sylvestor in the Church compound before the 3:00 pm and 4:15 pm Konkani masses followed by procession to the Church and festival mass. After the mass, Fr. Harry and Fr. Alban along with Deacon led the Novem Jevaan / fellowship dinner with a prayer in the Church hall at 5:45 pm in the presence of KCWA committee members and volunteers. Crowd in excess of 3000 gathered to savor the taste of traditional Mangalorean Monthi Fest dinner. The dinner was prepared by M&M Confectionery, Royal Plaza and Faustine Pinto.
