Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), a premier Catholic Association in Kuwait, held its General Body Meeting on Friday, 30th August 2013 in IEAS auditorium Salmiya.The meeting commenced at 6:30 pm with the opening prayer lead by Mr.Orson D’souza. President, Mr. Anil Fernandes heartily welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude towards all the members for their support, love and encouragement.
Various Reports were presented and appreciated by all. Mr. Louis D’costa and Ms.Renita D’mello presented Minutes of last GBM and activity reports respectively,Finance, Membership and educational fund reports were presented by Mr. Gilbert Mathias, Mr. Praveen Menezes and Mr. Vijay D’souza respectively.Cultural and sports activity reports were presented by Mr. Kiran Gonsalves and Dr.Manohar Prabhu respectively. KCWA website details were presented by Mr. Rajesh Aranha and Monthi Fest 2013 programme details were presented by Ms.Renita D’mello. Fr. Joel D’souza, Capuchin, who is on visit to Kuwait on a mission to strengthen the faith of the faithful in Kuwait spoke highly about KCWA’s works and achievements.
On this occasion, Members’ children with excellent academic achievements were felicitated with floral bouquets. Mr. Stephen Machado proposed vote of thanks followed by closing prayer.The meeting ended by singing ‘MoriyekHogollsiya’.
Sound system was provided by Mr. AnandD’souza (illuminations). Mr. Steevan Misquith facilitated power point presentation. The projector was provided by Mr. Walter Saldanha. The whole programme was compered efficiently by Vice President Mr. Deepak Andrade. The meeting was concluded at around 8:30 pm.Snacks from Caesars confectionary were distributed to the attendees. Around 150 members and their family were present.
