Inaugural Ceremony: Sports meet Inaugural took place amidst eminent personalities like Fr. Noel D Almeida, Ex-KCWA presidents Mr.Lawrence Pinto, Mr. Pascal Pinto, Mr.Rudy D’Souza and Mr. Stephen Machado. The sports meet declared open with prayer by Mrs. Lydia Misquith followed by lighting the torch which was taken one round in the ground by Mr. Alex Rego, Mr. Rajesh Aranha, Mr. Lancy Rodrigues, Ms. Renita D’mello, Mr.Naveen Mascarenhas and Mr.Manohar Prabhu. KCWA president Mr. Anil Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Mr. Deepak Andrade compered.

A very Good morning to one and all. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are glad to bring you the live news updates on the first ever Athletic Meet of Mangalorean Catholic Community in Kuwait organised by KCWA. We have received over 400 registrations for 120 track and field events for the day. A huge crowd is expected as the day progress. The Sports Meet will start with an opening ceremony at 8 am. KCWA Management Committee members and few enthusiastic volunteers at task in preparing the stadium for the event. Registration re-confirmation counter has already opened at 7:30am.

We would like to thank you for registering your name in the KCWA Athletic Meet 2013

Unfortunately, we have received less the 3 entries for the below listed categories/events and therefore as per the rules and regulations announced earlier, we regret to inform you that these events will be CANCELLED :

Group E (Born between 1997 – 1998) – Female Category – 100 mtrs running race, 800 mtr running race, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put and Javelin Throw.
Group F (Born between 1994 – 1996) – Female Category – All events.
Group G (Born between 1988 – 1993) – Female Category – All events.
Group K (Born before 1962) – Female Category – 50 mtrs running race.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Events in all other groups will be held as per schedule.

Dear All,

We are pleased to inform you that there is a overwhelming response for the first ever Athletic Meet for the Mangalorean Catholic Community in Kuwait.

Please take note of the following:

The registration is closed on 12th October 2013 and no more applications will be accepted or no spot registrations at the venue will be entertained.
The event will start at 8 am onwards. Registration re-confirmation will begin at 7:30 am. on the event day.
Participants are required to reconfirm their attendance at the registration counter at least 30 minutes before the start of particular event along with their civil id.
Tentative time for each event will be available only at the venue or at KCWA website on event day. (Please consider one hour margin for tentative timings – before/after).
As it is first time event, our main aim is to increase friendship/understanding and to build a strong Mangalorean community. Therefore everyone’s support and cooperation is highly expected to have similar events in future.
Officials decision will be final – no scope for discussion or arguments on decisions.
Please refer below the location map of ‘Kuwait Athletic Association Stadium’ in Keifan.
Food stalls will be available for Break Fast/Lunch, snacks, water at a nominal charge.
We need your support to keep the stadium clean; and adhere to the local rules and regulations of the stadium.
Membership counters for the new membership / membership renewals will be available.
