April 26: KCWA held get together at Carmel School Auditorium Khaitan on April 26th from 11 am onwards. Rev.Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi diocese, Ronald Colaco, Philanthropist & NRI businessman, J.R.Lobo, MLA – Mangalore South Constituency, Dennis D’Silva & Roshan Castelino were the guests.

The program started with prayer by Rinna D’Souza. President Anil Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Bishop Dr.Gerald Isaac Lobo briefed about Udupi diocese, its achievements and future plans. He congratulated KCWA for successfully organising the Rupyotsav Program and wished all the best in future endeavors.


A documentary on IFKCA(International Federation of Karnataka Christian Association) was presented by Dennis D’Silva and Roshan Castelino. Ronald Colaco urged the gathering to send their children for higher education like IAS, IPS and secure Government jobs. He further said, being a minority community, we need to defend ourselves so that our future generation can live with dignity. He thanked KCWA for giving him an opportunity to be a prat of Rupyotsav and lauded the audience of Rupyotsav program for their patitence even though the program went on till 11:30pm.

All the Catholic Associations of Mangalore and Udupi diocese, Sponsors, well wishers, volunteers, musicians & drama artists of Rupyotsav program were present. Jerome Worli and Salvadore D’Souza were honored with mementos for their contribution to KCWA. Faustine D’Souza and Lancy Rodrigues received the honor on behalf of Jerome worli and Salvadore D’Souza respectively. Winners of KCWA online quiz contests, drama artists of ‘Ami Nathlyaa Vellar’, KCWA management Committee members were honored with mementos.The program was ably compered by Dr.Manohar Prabhu. Illuminations provided the sounds. Joyston D’Souza and Alban D’Souza were the photographers. sumptuous lunch was served to the gathering by ‘Ceasers Caterers’.
