KCWA Cricket Cup 2015

KCWA held ‘Cricket Cup 2015’ on Friday 13th March at TACK Cricket Grounds, Sulaibikhat. A total of 12 teams participated in the 8 overs a side tournament, which was held exclusively for KCWA members only. KICC-A won the coveted trophy by winning the finals against Udupi Friends.
The tournament began at 7 am with Vice-President of KCWA Deepak Andrade welcoming the teams and guests. In the first Semi-final KICC-A beat Little Flower-B and in the second Semi-final Udupi Friends beat Star XI.
In the presentation ceremony, President of KCWA Anil Fernandes welcomed the guests Mr.Mahmoud, Mrs.Rita Mahmoud, Mr.Amjad Ashraf along with Mr.Melwin Serrao. He thanked Mr.Melwin Serrao for providng the ground and all those who helped in organizing the tournament. Dr.Manohar Prabhu handled the presentation ceremony.

Deepak Andrade, Rajesh Aranha, Stephen Machado did the announcements and live commentary. Loyd D’Souza, Wilfred Lobo, Orson D’Souza and Naveen Mascarenhas were the scorers. Stephen Machado, Loyd D’Souza, Alex Rego and Rajesh Aranha were the umpires. Alban D’Souza captured the event with his skills in photography. Anand D’Souza of Illuminations provided the sound. Food was arranged by Melwin Serrao & Friends. Salvadore D’Souza arranged the logistics at the venue. Dr Manohar Prabhu, Naveen Mascarenhas and Alex Rego coordinated the event successfully with the support of KCWA Managing committee members.
