Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) held its General Body Meeting on Friday 19, February 2021. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the meeting was conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams Video call conference. It was a great opportunity to all the members all over the world to participate in virtual meeting.
The meeting commenced at 6:30 pm Kuwait time with the opening prayer lead by Victoria D Souza. KCWA President Maria Rinna D Souza heartily welcomed the gathering and expressed her gratitude to all members for their continuous support, love, and encouragement especially during Covid-19 period.
Various Reports were presented and appreciated by all. Deepak Andrade presented Minutes of previous GBM followed by Sunitha D Silva with activity report. Financial, Membership Affairs Updates, and Education Fund Updates reports were presented by Arun Jossy D’Souza, Jinella Rodrigues and Alwyn Noronha, respectively. KCWA website Facebook & YouTube updates were presented by Allan D Souza. KCWA Spiritual Director, Fr. Noel D Almeida, lauded the works and achievements of KCWA.
KCWA Managing Committee Elections for the term 2021-2023 are due in the month of March. Rajesh Aranha, Maria Rinna Dsouza & Shaila Lobo were chosen for Election Commission. Anil Fernandes briefed the gathering about the election procedures and requested talented committed members to join the Managing Committee to take KCWA for greater heights. The virtual Elections for various posts in Managing Committee shall be held on 26 March,2021 at 6:30pm through Microsoft Teams Video call conference.
KCWA president Maria Rinna Dsouza expressed her gratitude to Anil & Renni Menezes for their continued support to KCWA, who will be leaving Kuwait for good and extended wishes for good health, wealth, and happiness.
Flevia D Mello proposed vote of thanks followed by closing prayer. Vice President Michael Pinto was the moderator. Allan D’Souza organized virtual meeting. Around 60+ members and their families were present for the virtual meeting.
