KCWA announces Gulf Voice of Mangalore – Season 6

Kuwait Jan 06, 2018: Gulf Voice of Mangalore (GVOM) – Season 6, the most awaited event of the year for Konkani speaking people of Mangalore and biggest reality show for Konkani singing talent hunt across the Gulf is set to take off in a few weeks from now. After completion of 5 successful seasons in Kuwait, Dubai, Qatar, Muscat & Bahrain, Grand Finale of Season 6 will be held in the State of Kuwait, the cradle and birthplace of GVOM.

Founded by Late Mr. Louis Rodrigues and Mr. Lawrence Pinto in 2008, Gulf Voice of Mangalore has come a long way giving opportunities to many Mangalorean talents across the Middle East.

Kuwait Canara Welfare Association in its 30th year of inception is proud to host the Grand Finale in State of Kuwait which will be held on 09th November 2018.

The sixth edition of ‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore’ is headed by Mr. Steevan Misquith, Convener for GVOM-6 and Mr. Hilary Stevan Rego, President of KCWA.

The Preliminary rounds (Audition) and the semi-final rounds will be organized by:
Bahrain: Konkani Kutam Bahrain & Konkan Singers Club
Kuwait: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association
Oman: Mangalurean Konkani Wing – Indian Social Club – Muscat
Qatar: Mangalorean Cultural Association
Saudi Arabia: Aangann Konknnechem Riyadh
UAE: Mangalore Konkans Dubai

The previous 5 seasons of Gulf Voice of Mangalore have been a blockbuster among Mangaloreans worldwide thanks to Daijiworld, who are the official media sponsor for GVOM. This season too, GVOM will give the best male and female singers from the Gulf region and also provide the opportunity and great platform to all aspiring and ambitious singers to showcase their amazing talent.

Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA) the premier organization for Mangalorean Catholics residing in Kuwait is synonymous with charity, fostering brotherhood and the like. KCWA also aims in upholding our culture and promote Konkani Language in Kuwait by organizing various cultural events and talent show competitions and has also supported many Konkani artists (singers/musicians/dramatists) from Mangalore and across the Gulf.

Johnny Misquith KCWA has untiringly worked towards the upliftment of its brethren back home in India as well as in being a helping hand to the needy in Kuwait. KCWA has donated approximately 5 crore Indian rupees towards education and charitable causes. With the backing and generosity of its members and by the efforts of the present and the past committee members, KCWA has established funds for education in more than 150 institutions in Mangalore and Udupi Diocese. KCWA aims to reach out to more people in need and in any small way to make a positive difference in their lives.
